The technical aspects of the films production ruined what should have been a highly rated film. Images were too dark and tinted, which looked fake. In some cases scenes were almost unviewable. Audio was also too low.
I understand that film producers want to set a mood or specific ambience to a film by special tinting and lower light levels, but I'm tired of producers who go so overboard with these effects such that it results in a fake and unwatchable appearance, thus distracting from the powerful effect of the storyline itself.
Producers need to practice more subtle artificial effects so that they add to the storyline, vs. competing with it.
I got tired of trying to strain to see various parts of the film, not to mention voices that were down too far in the mud, that I eventually turned it off. Maybe someday another film producer will do a better job.
