Filled with action, drama, crying, laughing, tough stories to tell, and plenty of excitement - it does a really great job at covering a lot of ground.
Oh wait - I mentioned drama: it's basically Days of Our Lives meets a cop show. The never ending histrionics in the story and its character development make this absolutely boring. It's much less about the puzzle solving; in fact, after season 1, it's barely about puzzle solving at all.
The show is addled with more tropes than swiss cheese has holes, has enough predictable dialogue you might even qualify as a used car salesman at the end of listening to all of that, and enough predictable storylines that you might even be able to work out writing for your local theatre.
Don't get me wrong, the production quality is top-notch. The music is fairly done - let's call it 'ok'. And it's not like the actors don't deliver.
