Author doesn’t want us to know that he’s a white male writing in the voice of a black female, about her family and community relationships. He uses a pen name and no picture. The characters seemed stereotyped but I read to the end to give it a chance. Then I wondered about the experience of the author and spent time searching for the truth. Why not just use his own name and picture? Other white writers do. Deceptive and disgusting. At least be honest about who you are.
