I'm not sure why this warranted such bad reviews from critics... The cast is really great, John Malkovich and Ben Schwartz are hilarious as usual...maybe just bc I love watching JM be angry at people. Anyway it's good, I binge watched it. I'm wondering if it's some backlash to it not being The Office.

I've watched the first four episodes now, only because I'm still convinced with the people making it, it can't just remain bad forever. I'm losing hope though. It's not that Ave5 is awful awful, by any normal standard, it's just a completely mediocre show; what makes it so hard to watch is that it's absolutely frustrating how close it is to being a great show, but week after week, it doesn't get there. Every new episode there's a hesitation before I press play, wondering if I really want to put myself through another week of disappointment. I hope they find their footing if they get another season, but I don't think I'll be watching it. I'd have to hear a lot of people gushing about how great it suddenly is to turn it back on.
