'Swami' is one of the best novels I have ever read. Pictorial description of every incidence, every act makes us feel that we are witness of that particular moment. Dialogues add more beauty to our experience. The love story of Peshwa Madhav Rao and Rama bai makes us cry in the end. I think no body can write all the moments with so much details and emotions other than the author Ranjit Desai. If you are Maharashtrian or able to read Marathi, your reading experience is incomplete without this book.
