A way to spit in MK fans' faces. A self insert character "Cole Young" instead of creating an interesting new character that isn't related to a pre-existing one. Tell me, are you wanting to stick with the original lore and canon or are you happy with mutilating it with random characters that don't add much to the already disorienting running time?
