This film portrays how women were treated during that time period. It's not a pleasant movie in any way. This film will fill you with emotion but not in a positive way. Lots of anger and disdain for the preacher and not enough payback for his actions. But if you enjoy sadistic, violent movies where women are treated as slaves then this film is for you. I gave it 3 stars because of how it created a flood of emotions in me. Mostly anger...lol
