I can't understand how anybody liked this book or it's main characters - they are annoying cliches. The main character Don is a rude mysogynist who constantly objectifies women throughout the book and yet gets a pass bec he's good looking?!? Also, he's a completely unethical scientist who abuses his position and has no regrets about it. On the other had there's Rosie - beautiful, a psych major who is really in touch with her "feelings, but is confused about everything and plays dumb even though shes really smart. Her entire motivation in the book is confusing to me and i don't understand what she sees in Don. Overall, the book neither sweet, funny or endearing.
Give me Bonnie Garmus' Lessons in Chemistry over this book anyday. Real characters with depth and history. And with a female role that's actually inspired.
