In the U.K. this was released as a Sky Original movie. Based on all previous Sky Original movies, that should tell you all you need to know! Great cast, and big set piece action scenes… but just lacking in script and direction. It wants to be John Wick / Kill Bill, but if you expect it to match those, you’ll be disappointed. Treat it like a graphic novel story akin to Sin City (just without the coolness of the film noir detail) and you’ll have an idea what you’re in for. The first 30mins drag, but you do find yourself getting into the film after that. There are some funny moments. But I feel sorry that Karen Gillan and Paul Giamati had to put their names to this. They both deserve so much better.
