After reading a lot of stories from the great author GA Kulkarni, I was very much convinced some great director will exploit the graphic elements of the stories. And here is Tumbbad. Characters with innate desires, rather twisted and obnoxious obsessions with something - like greed here are moving through the frame with some resolute towards their goals- some smaller ones from the first generation (the mother for one coin) to the rather greater ones from the last generations (for the full bag) - but ultimately the tragic finale for each one is the bigger truth. The director has talked about Narayan Dharap, but his direction has a lot of GA texture to it. The very essence that a ONCE god is turned into a MONSTER due to the lust for money speaks volume of the author being haunted by GA Kulkarni.
Congratulations to us all ! to earn this movie and in time I believe the director should pull out some real dazzlers from his bag in future.
From the organic scenes of the grandma to the enigma that holds in each scenes that descends down the Womb, the only thing which real movie viewers can do is just awe at the extent of hard work that went through.
