The best time travel movie I've ever seen. The old "change the timeline" scenario makes no sense. If it were possible to visit any time in the past (which also makes no sense...sorry, sci-fi buffs), then if you witnessed an event, you were there when that event occurred. THAT makes sense! This movie approaches the idea with that as its premise. I'm a huge fan of Terry Gilliam, but, as with anything, you can't ring the bell everytime you swing the hammer. He rang the bell with this one! Highly reccommended...

My 24-yr-old kid was raised on Rez Dogs, Sin City, etc., & asked if I'd ever seen this (he still hadn't), as he'd heard good things. Reviews were favorable, so I checked it out. Absolutely nothing special. Only 1hr. 40 min., but seemed longer due to LOTS of unnecessary moments. Cookie-cutter plot, stereotypical characters, & the "driving" thing had no real relevance. Gosling's character had zero emotional range (except for an occasional smile at the kid), but I tend to blame directors for lack-luster performances Watchable, but again, nothing special.

I'm 61 years old, and have been a fan of animation and fantasy all my life. I watched my 22 year old son play the game with his friends for years, but could never have imagined it could translate into such a compelling, mature, and visually gorgeous series. Everything about "Arcane" is fabulous, and I'm not hesitant to say it's one of the most impressive things I've seen EVER. The end of series one left me breathless, and I highly reccommend it to anyone (like myself) who is looking for a gem in a sea of mediocrity.
