This episode has stayed with me ever since I saw it as a child. It is brilliant, and one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen. If every moment of one's reality were controlled by the whims, angers, and need for instant gratification of a 5 or 6 year old boy ... wait, this is starting to remind me of someone. Who could ever have dreamed that such a story might be a prophetic warning? Ok, now I'm scared again.

This show wins the prize for the worst adaptation of all time. It has nothing to do with the excellent books. It's laughable. Ridiculous. Beyond ridiculous. I can only urge people to read the books. This show should not be using the term "based on." They should at least say "inspired by." It really has nothing to do with the books. Changes made to the story are all unnecessary and silly. Babcock as a young blond girl is only the first among an endless list. It's really not an adaptation at all. Its just a very bad show using a few ideas from the book, but not many. It's a joke.
