Honestly I went into this a few months after release properly, knowing it’s a kinda spin off reboot of the movie franchise and honestly it was surprisingly good! The negative reviews are overstated honestly and it casts a black cloud over a fairly good movie It’ll never be as good as the original and how could it be? But on the plus side the movie as a whole is solid, great characters and a fairly decent story although predictable it did try and make you wonder a few times, it took me a while to figure it out and I’m usually a whiz at that sort of thing! The dynamic between the cast works perfectly for a fun movie to watch when you’re looking for something different, no it’ll never beat the original 97 movie, but it’s a fresh take on a old classic and although it’s gonna have it’s critics it’s a great movie to enjoy with family and friends even if it is cliché and somewhat overdone I wouldn’t oppose a sequel to it, especially if they managed to bring back J (Will Smith) to the franchise even if it was just a cameo or maybe as the leader of some kind! A good all round movie, very enjoyable a solid 7.5/10 Don’t listen to the negatives!
