Saw the movie last night and was overwhelmed with the lack of character and situation development. Does anybody realize that they have tried to combine two books into one in less than 2 hours? Lizbeth’s sister Camilla does not die until the fifth book “An Eye For An Eye “. My head was spinning with disappointment, And I wondered how anyone else in the audience could possibly understand the plot jumping around (in the dark) with lack of development or facts about who these suddenly brought in characters were and why they were doing what they were doing. The child August was totally misrepresented from his character in the book, where he was a brilliant yet disturbed child who refused to speak and drew pictures with important representations that needed to be interpreted and understood by adults. Claire Foy is a talented actress who could have helped to continue the Salander character if only the writers had developed a factual plot based on the one book “The Girl In The Spiders Web”.
