The Movie Game Changers was truly an eye opening documentary of a thousand, perhaps tens of thousands, of facts most of us never knew about about things we do and care about everyday, the foods we eat. The movie geared us soon enough to the ‘thoughts’ of ‘what we eat’ after its first ten to fifteen minutes, a real smartly orchestrated series of events led from an injury. It dug its way deep into the lifestyles of the Roman Gladiators looking at their bone structures which showed ‘beans’ and not ‘beef’ based foods they ate while fighting as the national heroes of the time. The stories woven around the heaviest weight lifter to the oldest woman athlete to the myriads of the World’s famous sports actors filled the pages after pages with facts supported by researches by scientists in medical and technologies. It was simply astonishing to learn that meat producing anilmals acted as middle men in the business of feeding ourselves, and as good businessmen we would be only helping ourselves if we went directly to the ‘Original suppliers’ of proteins we so much care for in our diets.
The thought patterns were superbly illustrated even using facts surrounding us in our body hormones such as cortisols, estrogens, and testosterones, which we fathom around all of our life span with Doctors, and like.
“Move the needle” the right way is a huge phenomenon, they say, for the Sports athletes! But is same for all of us, too, for those who want to live just a little longer, a little too longer, of course.
The Theater was literally packed with a smart looking audience that sat all the way through the post movie show in Regal Grand Parkway in Houston Suburbia.
I am proud to be part of this phenomenol documentary as the daughter and her family’s contribution to the movie makers’ efforts!
