Tried to post 21/2 stars . Over rated "chick flick " .Kinda sad,saved by performances of lee grant and Julia Christie. Poor attempt at 1968 "setting " really stunk.

Favorite as a 14 year old. Watched s1 again and surprisingly even better than I remembered. TV in 1973 was S0 MUCH BETTER!

I am a film geek who grew up during the "2nd Golden Era " of Hollywood (64-78) and have seen more films than any five people you know (not proud of that) but this is my favorite movie of all time.
