Okonkwo is unlikable, he beats his wife(s) and children and is just a jerk all around, and his suicide near the end doesnt really make sense, like sure he was gonna get caught and go to jail or whatever, but hes not the one to suicide, hed more so go down in a huge fight. also Okonkwo's father appears for...3? chapters and it seems like hes gonna be very important to the plot...but...he isnt ever mentioned again really, altho some positives are that Umuofia has a really intresting culture...and...um........yams are cool?
