A.M Edwin Sarah's frames, Sathyaraj Natarajan's cuts, V Vignarajan's shots and splendid performances from the cast and crew including Vinoth Kishan, Arjun Das, Pooja Ramachandran and Misha Ghoshal marks highlight of Andhaghaaram. Slow burn type movies are pretty low in Tamil or even indian cinema. They are mostly found in Hollywood movies. And now we can expect and also experience a lot of movies from this category. Andhaghaaram is a slow burn type movie that goes from the beginning to end in a slow paced manner but keeps you gripped till the end because of the tight and complex screenplay from V. Vignarajan. Even after the 1st half you can't predict or you won't get a glimpse about the theme or what the movie is focusing about. But that is mainly the positive aspect of Andhaghaaram as it persuades you to watch the movie till the end. We may think that most of the scenes were unwanted after interval, but at the end this perception is broken into pieces by unwrapping the whole story.
Arjun Das was superb with his clean and dynamic performance after Kaithi. His emotional scenes also was very well and Vinod Kishan also made you redefine the viewpoint of a blind person. Pooja Ramachandran and Misha Ghoshal carried their parts very well. Another praise is for Kumar Natarajan who even performed with his voice. The visuals itself gives the feel of a hollywood movie. The bgm and music great from Pradeep Kumar which added pace in the film. If it had been a theatre release the audience surely can experience something new. But it's surely a good OTT release in 2020. !
NB:- Do watch the movie if you have atmost patience as you will not regret at the end.
