My four year daughter and I stumbled across this film and instantly fell in love with it. I began telling the story to my students during lunchtime and they fell in love with it too. I am using the story as the centerpiece of a science lesson next month (Pre-K). It is a testament to what a powerful film it is that children enjoy it though it has no dialogue, and children who have never seen it are enthralled by the teacher's simple retelling.
