I would give it no stars but I have to give it something. I mean maybe the occasional one liners were funny but I digress; the show is very lack luster with plot holes and all around fashion sense it's obvious they didn't look at any fashion guides. You can do the dark Academy look with bright colors or at least something besides black, navy blue, red and nude please. One thing I don't understand is why they aged them down to 16 bloom and the others were 18 nearing college-age if it's really for an older audience don't halfas it make them legal. Ok say you've never watched cartoon before (even though that who they said this is for) you follow bloom who is a loner to the academy to learn to control her powers. First off they over simplified her powers into a fire fairy. Also they mashed the boys school for warrior training together so now the school is co-ed yet no one is supervising them? Kids sneak out of the barrier often honestly it's kind of there for decor. The relationship between the character are stale and forced if only by obligation. I signed up for magic and death you gave me Twilight and pretty little liars. Plothole: fairy evolved out of wings since when was not having wings more convenient? If you like wattpad tropes Mary sues backstabbing besties and a obvious storyline give the show a try. I honestly wasn't expecting much but they exceeded in disappointing me. The characters are NOTHING like they originally were expect Bloom Stella and Lola/Aisha in face only. If you wanted women empowering fashionable faes with magic and dark themes well you'll get the dark theme.
