the entire six story film is magnificently filmed, cast, and true to life from first to last. two of the stories stand out for me among the best cinema I have ever seen, Meal Ticket - in which Liam Neesan and Harry Melling are so good either could have won an Oscar. And the opening story, the ballad of Buster Scruggs, shows Tim Blake Nelson hold the screen on this own; shooting, killing, laughing, singing , playing a banjo and overall gives us an incredible one man show.

The story was entertaining, a must for TV, all the actors were excellent but above all the settingin Crete was superb.

this is possibly the best humorous, satirical and gripping drama about the immediate post cold war world yet produced. The performances of Warren Clarke and Nigel Havers are perhaps their finest ,and that is saying something!!.

This is undoubtedly the best television series of any genre set in the 2nd world war. It raises and explores every social aspect of war, love peace and crime in Britain from 1939 to 1947. Michael Kitchen is so good he deserves a knighthood and the writer, Anthony Horowitz a Nobel History Prize, except there isn't one

classic series, superb cast and BBC at its best.

I'm nearly 78, Scottish/Australian born in England during WW2, and I haven't enjoyed a TV series as much as this for a long time. The four main characters (especially Samuel Kim) have so much personality that it is hard to stop watching them.Luckily my first wife 52 years ago,(Choi Eum-Lee) was Korean and we had a lovely life together for nearly three years until she was killed in Vietnam in late 1970 along with our daughter (Anh Tuyet) by a stray mortar shell. But I loved the odd months I spent in Korea and this series really takes me back to a very happy time in my life. Of course Korea makes all the social media hardware and many of the apps that we live on in today's totally different world to the one I knew years ago as a journalist, but this series showed me how my lovely marriage city had developped to be part of the ten most advanced developed nations in the world. Thanks ps: I see some reviws think the ending weak, but the series makers were obviously leaving the way open for a surprise follow up series.

Fortnately I have a basic knowledge and command of Korean so every nuance and social comment in the film was understandable. I have been watching films all over the world for 76 years (Bambi was my first aged 1) and quite seriously I would rate this the best made,best written, best acted, most socially relevant, humurous and brilliantly filmed movie I have ever seen. I can think of nothing in English to come anywhere near it. It paints the perfect picture of the horrific social inequalities of our modern world as no other movie has ever done since talkies began nearly 100 years ago. Perhaps the best tribute one can pay it is to say that Donald Trump didn't like it because it was a condemnation of the digitally rich world in which he lives and thinks he owns.
