I’ve seen this movie twice and I loved it during both viewings, anyone that says Keanu can’t act watch this movie considering this was so early in his career but imo he did a great job of balancing goofy and dramatic. There’s still a bit of Ted Theodore Logan in Keanu’s character in this movie, but u rlly feel for the characters while watching the whole thing and everyone in this movie did solid job even the ones that weren’t in it as much I personally think this is up there with rivers edge if u are a Keanu fan or are into dramas check this one out u won’t regret it.

I didn’t know what to expect from the movie but I’m glad it wasn’t too bad, not Great neither. It’s more a series of events than an actual movie, I liked how it played a homage to the 80s even tho it still kinda had an early 00s vibe to it too even the cinematography makes it look a film that could have came out 10-20yrs earlier anyway some funny moments here and there may not be a film for everyone depending on ur sense of humour but if u saw it as a child/ teen you’ll prob have nostalgia and I heard somewhere that it appeled more towards younger audiences but adults can find enjoyment in it ig.

Not a great film by any means imo but I can see why it has a cult following it’s one of those I’ve never seen anything like it b4 and at times can be so non self aware of itself that it’s really hard to take the film very seriously as a whole. The acting is something you will expect from a movie like this but the actor that played the mayor nailed it. Even some of the effects such as the main lead transforming into the toxic avenger is pretty impressive especially with the budget they had. Overall if ur a person that’s highly sensitive to violence I suggest maybe a pass but if ur someone that loves campy b movies this is the film for you, a movie that definitely shows it’s age but is good for the wrong reasons.

While I think this movies is decent enough on its own, I must say it’s pretty dated but what do I expect from a 70s movie set in the early 60s. Despite all that Robert Duvall is great as the main lead and you want to know more about his character and ik a lot of ppl slate this character but hey at least he’s not Robert de niro from this boys life. I do wish they could have focused more on the two younger kid’s a bit too than suppose to the older. Everyone does a solid job I’ll admit the guy that plays Ben is a little flat at times but when he breaks down it’s like a whole other performance. Overall I will recommend this to Duvall fans and ppl who are into drama films.

Definitively not a good one but I can’t really trash it too hard I could tell they tried a little but just wasn’t excuted well, like Richard Pryor doesn’t belong in a superman movie and funny enough he appeared in a film directed by Richard donner called the toy which was even less worthy film than this. Aside from all that Reeve is still good as Clark/superman but the whole film just falls flat under a radar of being too campy and it doesn’t hold up as well as the first two and it didn’t feel like a superman film at points, even though it’s better than 4 which was incredibly awful is that really saying much.

Not the best movie but is a definite guiltily pleasure for me and I have to admit I think the way the movie is shot and visualized is pretty impressive even though the underworld was a little eck but the cast is great and I love some of the cast connections between some actors and the score is wonderful to hear. The only downside is I can’t necessarily say the film is Oscar worthy but if ur into 80s films or dark family films with a twist this may be a treat.
