My husband and I are seniors "sheltering in place" from Covid-19 and we'd finished binge watching all the shows we needed to catch up on. We tried Raising Dion and the next thing we knew, it was 11:53 PM and we were trying to decide if we wanted to watch another episode. Very smart writing and entertaining. I hope they get more money next season for special effects because it will enhance Dion's "magic" and make the show so much better. I still gave 5 stars for just plain old entertainment value.

I loved the film. Ansell Elgort gave an award worthy performance. I’m afraid that book snobs might not care for the license taken to put the story on film but I found it still so very true to Theo’s story and very well done. Serendipity? Predestination? Or just life? Thought provoking and well acted by all. I cannot understand some of the poor reviews that I’ve read. Did we see the same film? Or does the film resonate only with those who have had such trials, that caused them to question whether the quality of their lives was worth the pain to continue as Theo’s hardships did? I am not a professional critic. I am a voracious reader. I love when a favorite book is made into a film. This film did not disappoint and has made me an Ansel Elgort fan. Wright and Kidman contributed perfectly with their nuanced performances. I found the film excellent and highly recommend it to those willing to become absorbed in the life of a thought provoking character.
