If you're familiar with Snyder's previous work (SuckerPunch, Watchmen, 300) you have a reasonable expectation of what you're in for, slow plodding pacing with self serious melodrama but done with gravitas and beautiful cinematography that justifies a viewing even if you don't care for comic films. Snyder's Justice League fits perfectly alongside Batman V Superman, and Man of Steel to form a new modern day epic. Something that will only grow in it's cult like status with passing of time. It's truly remarkable just how similar yet different this version is, and yet how very few of the same shots are actually used. It's really a completely different movie, and that gives viewing further appeal as a unique curiosity of Hollywood editing. Logically and emotionally this film is world's above the studio cut, but with a staggering runtime of four hours, it's generally slow pace and Snyder's love of old folk songs, it's likely to put many to sleep. And while this expanded upon version fixes many of the plot holes from the studio version, it adds it's own share, some larger than others. I won't spoil anything but imo opinion it's a must watch and true redemption for Snyder fans. That said, if you're not a fan of comic movies or Snyder, this movie is not going change your mind.
