Skip the story - watch Gerald's fights.
These series are awfully embarrassing and cringely bad. The fact that people have reviewed them positively is incomprehensible. Unless the standard of filming nowadays is mediocrely accepted. Main issue is the casting.
It's awful. B style movie - low budget. More interested in getting a diverse cast that hiring good actors. If it wasn't because I love he Witcher series I wouldn't watch it. Still I find myself skipping awfully unnecessary bad acting. It's a shame that some will remember the Witcher series and think of these actors.
Ciri - Mediocre acting - not the strong character in the books.
Yen - I mean, what??
Gerald - Mediocre. Don't care that he's a nice guy. Although I don't think is his fault - he's just does not fit the role to me.
Dandelion - wow. where to start.
Secondary characters, even more mediocre than the first ones apart from some excellent performance from the guys in the roles of Dijkstra, Strogobor and Vesemir. These guys fit the roles.
In conclusion, the only good thing about these series (so far) are Gerald fights - Skip the rest.
