If you think this game is boring. Wait till you understand it's mechanic and how it means to be play. It will get easier and you will enjoy every bit of it. Every decision you make will have impact on your character and your empire. There are many ways to many of issue you need to handle, it depends on your strategy and plan. I always go for diplomacy and stewardship, it's easier when you rich and love by others.
