I loved it in '77; I love it now.
This is 'real' life for some people - too many people.
This book is extremely funny - but the subject matter is life or death for anyone with the same problem.
The lead character, Cassie, has the 'fastest mouth in Cleveland" (per her psychiatrist) and a canny sense of humor. You will love her in the end. I promise.
