Lucky Madison

This film was wonderfully shot and absolutely caught the essence of NYC. I didn’t think Teyana did a great job, there were times that I cringed at her acting; most the beginning of the film. All of the actors that played Terri did an outstanding job and the supporting cast was also all very talented. I definitely had a lump in my throat and tears streaming down my face by the end of the film. This was a great movie!

I’m honestly really surprised by these reviews. I just watched all 3 “A star is born” and my favorite of the 3 were Barbara and Kris. The love between the two of them was absolutely magnetic. The way he looked at her even when he couldn’t after he cheated was thoroughly felt through the screen all these years later. Obviously lady Gaga has a power house voice and she didn’t falter here. Where she faltered was her acting! She was very cringe worthy throughout the whole film. And she looked bad. What happened here? Honestly. Is it because she’s too animated that she couldn’t be “natural”? Bradley I thought did a good job and I always like his acting and was impressed by his singing. However, together there was little to no chemistry here. And what’s up with the verbal abuse they shared? And her seeming lack of trust for him? This wasn’t the same heartfelt story of Judys romance nor Barbara’s. I’m disappointed but gave it a 3 stars because at the very minimum you see what was supposed to happen here. And alas he goes tries to get help. Perhaps it was the casting? Or perhaps live nation should’ve left this one alone. 2 covers of this screen play was enough. 🥴
