I loved this album from the first day I bought and played it. All survivors of abuse and those guilty of inaction over this, listen to 'Family Business'. Fish is a master lyricist as wonderfully illustrated in the beautiful songs Cliche and Gentleman's Excuse me. There are power rock songs 'View from The Hill' and 'Voyeur' (not quite ballads) which to me convey the disillusionment that comes from unfulfilled promises, dreams and bad life experiences. This album connected with me back in 1990 and still does, sounding as fresh and meaningful as ever.

A lifelong Genesis fan, I absolutely adore this album, listen to it regularly and still find it as fresh as I did on its original release 39 years ago. The song 'At the end of the day' will always be a favourite which I wish was heard more on mainstream radio in the UK. Beautiful lyrics supported by a stunningly simple musical arrangement comprising Mike Rutherford's unmistakable 'Genesis' guitar riffs and the beautiful vocals of Noel McCalla who I'd never heard of until this album. 'Time and Time again' will always be a poignant one for me too, although there simply isn't a duff track on Mike's brilliant debut concept album. I wish it was more commercially available. If you love late 1970's Genesis, you'll love this. Thanks Mike.
