This marvellous film is one of the best I have seen. Tim Robbins and Benecio del Toro have never been better, and the direction was achieved with such a light and expert hand, that it wasn't consciously present - as though a bunch of actors got together and magic was wrought. The scenes seem to jostle each other in a good way, which makes the film one of constant surprises and delight as the viewer understands a little more each shot. 10 out of 10.
