It’s break my heart to give this film 3 as pretty up to the last episode it was running at 4-5 It looks like they didn’t know how to end it well so chaos ensures and the last episode literally just falls apart This would have been a superb 5 episodes with some shaving off of some stuck on woke ish themes, I was personally happy for it to end with the boat scene and the confession, that episode and ending was amazing, then it kinda started to , er hum burn, but still worth a watch for some stand out acting, concepts, insights and film making

Stunning photography and superb gothic like visuals create a tense atmosphere of mounting suspense as two very different worlds collide and a spiritual battle of sacrifice and sensuality unfolds, a true before it's time classic hopefully never ruined by a remake

Almost really good
