The album definitely is not like their older albums, however that's the magic of it. The album displays an evolution of the band, and the goal of the album at least that is how I feel about it. The album from the first song to last is mesmerizing. Listening to Danny Carey playing the drums, that keeps a spiritual theme that cannot be ignored that gives the band a powerful foundation, Justin Chancellor bass and Adam Jones guitar, maintaining an original, and amazing sound. With Maynard bringing to the board of lyrical depth of thought. I would recommend this album to anyone.
