Brad Freeman

A boring repetitive comic book of a film with no character development or plot suspense. While trading on previous Batman imagining, it goes nowhere and has nothing of interest to say. There is some lovely classical music along the way, accompanied by a driving score that gives the editor something to pace the scenes with, in the absence of story or sense. It is a shame to see so much money and talent squandered on such a banal result.

Wonderfully understated, beautifully performed directed, cast and set. Quite surprising in its meditation on loss, mourning, love, family and the master servant/son relationship. Oh did I mention ageing and fidelity.
