Hailing from the West Philadelphia area (Overbrook), i am fascinated by the mastery of our dialect that Kate Winslet has achieved. While there are some obvious idioms and t2ge ever famous "wooder," much of the dialect is more subtle. We throw our 'o's, make a two-syllable word out of 'on', say 'something' with a silent 'g'. Plus the story is first rate. Kate is a great actor to begin with. I have long admired her ability to handle comedy and drama with equal aplomb, but her characterization of Mare Sheehan is as good as it gets. Runaway Emmy performance. And the kid cameos are spot on. Worth watching twice. Once to see it and once more to marvel at the craftsmanship.
