This show was incredible the first 2 seasons. Then Netflix decided to pick it up. I don't know if the writers changed or what happened. The original writing was filled with unexpected plot twist and an interweaving of plots that made sense and kept you on the edge of your seat. Now.... not so much. They are so anxious to fill it with any and every politically charged issue of the day that it just bounces from one issue to the other with no plot. We had the transgender sister-in-law for one episode. Then the gay couple. Now HIV positive is inserted into the story line. We have the new chief of staff with the addicted wife and the mistress. We have the excitement of President Kirkman running again, but in the debate there was no democratic candidate. Why? This show was so good in the original show at riding the true independent line. Kirkman would sometimes take the more moderate and conservative actions and would take the more liberal side in some issues. Now? The show screams liberal progressive everywhere to the point that I guess the writer's have their own agenda. We still have the excitement of the behind the scenes action with the former FBI agent now CIA and bio-terrorism, but it is given so little time to develop each week. This show has lost me. Kirkman and the job of the president has taken a backseat to the "let's bring it any and all hot issues we can insert that make no sense to the story" philosophy. Not going to finish the season.
