I cannot understand how there are so many positive reviews for this film. Wonder Woman 1984 somehow managed to be boring and slow for the first 45 minutes, and then finish with a farcical, disjointed and plot-hole ridden final hour and a half. The messages were confusing, the central object of the film was inconsistent, and the year 1984 had no relevance at all to the plot. In comparison to the gripping and compelling 2017 Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984 appears as a mere caricature, trying to capitalise on 80's gags at the expense of a decent story.
