Everything from acting, direction, camera, and songs, stands out in this Gulzar classic. Made in Bengali as Bhranti Bilas in 1963 and acted by the stalwart Uttam Kumar. It was based on Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar's short story of the same name. Gulzar brought it back to life in 1982, basing it on Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors. Two classics 19 years apart, same flavor. And Sanjeev Kumar....what an actor he was. After Dilip Saab, I think he is the only complete actor in Hindi movies who strolled leisurely into our hearts.

If you want to relax watching a simple film, Rishikesh Mukherjee won't' disappoint you. The easy storyline, awesome acting and powerful script. Well, you have a cocktail of a fine movie which we lack today. No 3D effects, throwing punches and smashing windows. Clean and clear fun at its best.
