Excellent portrayals by all of the actors. Brilliant scripts by Michael Tolkin. One of the best representations of the movie business. If you’re a fan of “The Godfather” and moviemaking, this one has it all.

I had soured on Ryan Murphy projects. His last few seemed vain and juvenile. Halston is his best work in years. Combine that with a career-best performance by Ewan McGregor, extraordinary period detail, excellent pacing, and you have a real winner. I’m ready to watch it again.
