The first half is very well done but right around the halfway mark the movie completely changes. All tension is deflated and you just want it to end. When our lead actress isn't speaking she is very effective and makes intelligent survival choices which is refreshing. Seeing the terrible looking monster so often and so clearly becomes comical by the end of the film. Very frustrating to watch a competent, well-shot, suspenseful first half lead into a messy and forgettable last half. Watchable but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
