I don't know why some critics in are giving this film bad reviews.. I'm not saying they're unfair. I think probably the subtitles are bad or they're trying to find the connection between McCbath and joji and honestly couldn't find any. You don't expect McCbath to play out. watch it like an independent movie. The movie is the best of Dileesh Pothen without doubt. And to the argument that it's slow from some quarters, I was hooked on to the movie from the beginning to end without being bored for a single moment. It's one of the best malayalam films to ever come out. I think some of the reviews are unfair not because they're baised. Probably there's something wrong with the subs because all the critics both in the national media and local malayalam media who understand malayalam are giving it excellent reviews but others who can't speak malayalam aren't.

Glorification of sexism, castesim, colorism, superstitions and nothing more. arranged marriage, the Upperclass, uppercaste, propaganda that even forces gay people into straight relationships is glorified in a manipulative way that after watching it I thought if One child nation were on Netflix, they would have preferred to glorify it in a way to make murders of baby girls to make room for boys justifiable. Never thought of all casteist, racist, mysoginist channels Netflix would come up with this.'that a woman is told "marriage is an adjustment" because she is supposed to to fit in to her husband's perspective of what a wife is' or simply what usually arrange marriages are.. that can simply sum up this classist propaganda show

It's a successful attempt at creating probably the boldest movie in India. The movie just doesn't give you songs or fights or the regular things indian films do to get people to watch it. It is honest and never did anything to undermine the story. Some directors make soft-porn with item numbers, the way women are shown and even rape scenes.. those directors only see and show nauciating dirtiness in other genders and sexualities because that's the extent of their skills. Don't expect anything more of those more than porn. But not Geethu who's the boldest of all directors.
