I gave the book 3 stars and I give the movie the same for different reasons. I was very disappointed by the ending. I was expecting a flash back, it was a huge letdown. The other issues were how clean Kya was and where was she getting all that amazing clothes? If it was second hand, it should look worn. We are led to believe she is making a lot of money from mussels lol

Could have been good, but the acting was terrible. The 'bad' guy looked like he was going to laugh every time he spoke - I know I was! Not really sure what the point was, but little girls will probably like it.
