Michelangelo Antiononi was inspired by Julio Cortazar's short story bearing the same title. Cortazar was a master of transforming seemingly mundane moments into surrealistic events. A trendy London photographer in the 60's happens upon a couple of lovers in the park. And that's where the mundane meets with mystery. Antiononi takes us through 24 hours of this photographer's day. It challenges us to peel away common perceptions and see this man deal with his reality as it bends before our eyes.
