After watching this show and seeing the Google ratings I felt as if I must write my thoughts that conflict with the aforementioned rating. Pros: To preface, I am a Russian speaker, I picked up this show as a way to maintain and polish my language, and to be quite honest, this show was incredibly ensnaring to me. The setting is amazing, the 60s vibe really struck a chord with me seeing as how people live their lives. The show portrayed Soviet Russia in such a manner making me feel as if I was there. The characters were amazing as well, all having principles to a fault, seeing as each character had their internal conflicts and how it affected the people around them kept me shouting at the screen biting my nails. The story had such a natural flow, showing such an amazing progression with arcs that kept me hooked. Cons: The story had a fair amount of plotholes, and at some point, the story seemed confusing to follow along with. Many events that transpired seemed as if they were just dropped, even a big part of the character seemed dismissed or completely forgotten at times. I genuinely do not know how the story follows along with English subtitles since, as previously stated, I understand what they are saying. Overall I recommend the show, I felt obligated to write a review as the google rating seemed so negative, but I wanted to provide more feedback and undoubtedly recommend watching this great show.
