Monica's Purple Door

Just recently found this show. I prefer the first 3 seasons as it gets a bit tedious after season 4. Season 5 is so boring I fell asleep watching some of the episodes. It gets better again Season 6 but the same jokes about Mindy's appearance, farting, eating habits and sex all get a bit repetitive and not funny. The characters also become far too over exaggerated. It's unrealistic how easily Mindy jumps from one guy to the next and they are all just happen to be instantly attracted to her even though half the things that come out of her mouth would put you right off speaking to her let alone dating her. It's also a mystery what happens to her besties Alex, Maggie and Gwen after season 1 and Shauna & Betsy the receptionists also mysteriously disappear. No explanation is offered about any of them. Having said all that there are a lot of laugh out loud moments and funny lines. It just seems that after season 3/beginning of season 4 they didn't really know what to do with Mindy's character after Danny and I would've liked to see more storylines of the supporting cast instead of it all being about Mindy's love life.
