Gladiator II is visually stunning, with breathtaking sets, costumes, and cinematography. The movie sets a good pace and keeps one hooked even considering its 2.5-hour runtime. The movie's main drawback lies in Paul Mescal's portrayal of Lucius - his expressions and energy felt lacking, which was surprising considering his central role. However, Denzel Washington delivered an outstanding performance as Macrinus, to some extent compensating for the disappointment in Mescal's lead role. Pedro Pascal was strong as a reluctant yet commanding general, and the rest of the important cast also gave good performances. Overall, Gladiator II remains an enjoyable watch.

Not one of the best but certainly watchable!

The movie started well but soon drifted into a 'superhero' kind of movie where the hero and his associates can virtually toy with people and the system and do whatever they like. the storyline and plot never looked and felt convincing to get into the flow of the movie.  It was probably still watchable for the screen presence of Will Smith and Margot Robbie and their onscreen chemistry but when the man who shot Smith towards the end turned out to be his father, I could not take it anymore and switched it off. Can't think of anything above 2 stars as far as the rating goes - mostly for the acting.

Since lockdown March,2020 - of all the movies that I have seen - this one will rank among the worst if not the worst! Script, story telling and direction are so weak! It was probably never meant to be a movie even as a sequel to the brilliant original! Extremely disappointed.
