I thoroughly enjoy viewing this show and find its gentle pace an excellent way to wind-down after a busy day. The presenters are personable, well-spoken, diplomatic, and, in some cases, outright daring. The enthusiastic buyers are - thankfully - the polar opposites of the loud-mouthed, whining complainers found on HGTV's "House Hunters." The local color vignettes highlighting county attractions are so worthwhile, they should be edited together into stand-alone compilations. "Escape to the Country" is one giant advert for UK tourism. I never realized there were so many beautiful places to visit there, with so many interesting things to do, and so much great food to sample. Well done!
