The heroes of this story were those who stood up to the drug lords and thier sicarios, particularly the periodistas. Sadly many paid for that with their lives. The corruption in government enabled Escobar and fueled his ambition and acts of terror. I also liked the Colombian dialect as it is deliberate and distinct and I was able to follow the Spanish, with the help of subtitiles. The characters were all relatable and the series took time to build them out, displaying their motivations and flaws.
