This movie lacks everything critical for it to be classified as “well made.” It seems as though the director’s vision was to have over used tropes and cliches within the plot, tone, character writing, settings, and really the entire script. Additionally the acting, character development, and pace was so poorly executed, specifically with the child. The “he’s a child he doesn’t have to be good at acting” logic definitely doesn’t stand to defend this performance which just feels so uninspired. To support my point that children should be good actors: Stranger Things, Stand by Me, IT. It’s a recycle horror movie that exists just to garner box office dollars from those who enjoy this type of cookie cutter “horror” film.
