I never write game reviews but this game is so incredible, I felt like I had to tell SOMEONE! Even in spite of the fact that my 9 year old daughter has been sobbing for a straight hour (I even teared up a bit) over the emotional storyline. I’ve been gaming since the NES days and I’ve only ever seen a handful of games which bring every element together perfectly and this is one of them. The gameplay is fantastic and crisp and rewarding. The story and art and music are absolutely amazing. I love exploring and seeking out all the Easter eggs because it was just so beautiful. Me and my two children played it together even though it’s only single player but it drew them in as much as it drew me in. Of course I loved that it was child friendly but I don’t think it’s a game exclusively for children or even moms. It is technical and challenging and well paced. I hope they keep the franchise going because we are forever fans of this beautiful world and characters.
