I get that this film might provide a healing experience or sort of catharsis for those suffering from past tragedy/trauma. I don't mind so much the idea of the Trinity depicted as three strangers appearing to the protagonist--although, it smacks a bit too much of mormonistic influence for my taste, because I get that it's for the sake of sharing the author's insights/lessons. What I don't get is why anyone, especially parents who've never experienced the unthinkable--apart from those who relish pain and suffering, would be eager to sit down and watch this. What was that pitch meeting like?
